On December 3, 2010, VCRA staff members, Rex Gardner, Charles McKinney, Vic Thompson and VCRA Poster Boy Justyce Gardner met with Autism Society of America VP Gordon Lavigne to present them with a check for $42,638 which represents all proceeds and donations the VCRA events held in 2009. It also includes contributions made through the efforts of the Branson Collector Car Auction, owned by Jim and Kathy Cox of Branson, Missouri. Each and every one of our friends and supporters, sponsors, entrants, support crews, host cities, private donors and our great volunteer staff members make this possible. We are truly grateful for the tremendous support you have all extended to VCRA in keeping the sport alive as well as opening your heart to a great cause. Just this week, ASA announced that the number of children affected is now 1 in every 101, a marked increase from just a few months ago when it was estimated to be 1 in 150. While there is no known cause or cure, we must continue to assist in improving the lives of those affected in the best ways we can. Thank You!!! |
